In Episode number two of Marketing Unschooled, Josh Muirhead and Jonathan Sy dig deep into the topic of Perception.
As they kick off, Josh recounts a recent article he read regarding the value of a $1,800 iPhone 8 and how by placing the price so high, Apple is deploying the strategy of Anchoring. They price high, and thus place the perception of value on the new iPhone, while at the same time making a less expensive iPhone 7 or iPhone 6s seem like a "deal."
